It might seem forced at first, but once you get into the habit you’ll be surprised at how powerful it can be to have your own personal mantra.

Experts say that repeating a mantra to yourself as part of a ritual can help you let go of negativity, anxiety, guilt, fear and pain. There’s comfort in giving yourself a little emotional boost to start the day. Psychologists also say daily affirmations work to remind us of our values, our achievements and our goals — all of which reinforce a message of strength and confidence.
