The bright side: how to stay positive during difficult times


Earlier this year, we asked more than 1,000 women to share the personal affirmations they use to encourage themselves throughout the day. In a time when we can all use a little positivity, we thought we’d share a few of their responses:

You are doing the best you can.

It’s okay to take a moment and decompress.

One day at a time.

Get enough sleep!

Keep your head up. Tomorrow will be a new day.

You’re not alone.

Take time for you.

You are strong and brave.

Trust the journey.

Repeating an affirmation every day can help you let go of negativity and reinforce strength and confidence. Place one wherever you think you’ll need it most—on a bathroom mirror, inside a notebook or on a car dashboard.
