Research shows that art can help to relieve stress and relax your mind. To help spread positivity and inspiration, we collaborated with artists to create artwork reflecting what our motto—shine from inside—means to them.
This week, we connect with artist Luisa Salas.
Tell us a little bit about you.
I became an artist because I couldn’t think of anything else I’d rather do for the rest of my life. My work is inspired by nature and human emotion.
What does wellness mean to you?
Wellness is important in my life because it reconnects me to my center of creativity and love, it encourages me to be the best version of myself. I practice wellness in my life when I meditate, exercise and even go for a walk with my family to take some time off both screen and routine.
Why were you excited to partner with Rae? What are your favorite Rae products?
I am excited about this collaboration with Rae because I hope more women like myself will be able to take time for themselves to appreciate where they are in life and ultimately find their happiest selves in that process. We all deserve bright, balanced days and this is definitely a brand that puts those values into the spotlight.
My favorite Rae product is the DeStress Capsules, because even though I consider myself to have a pretty slow-paced life, I am a rather anxious person. Natural help to bring calm to both my mind and body is always welcome for both, my creativity and family life.
What does ‘shine from inside’ mean to you? How did this come through in your artwork?
For me, ‘shine from inside’ means to dig deep and tap into your truest, brightest self. I represented the concept in my artwork by using some of the latest teachings I’ve acquired from this intense year: To learn the art of slowing down the pace, checking in with my loved ones, checking in with my mental and physical health, to give myself the gift of leaning towards a sustained balanced state of mind. The artwork itself is focused on simplifying and of course, balancing.
We’d love to hear what shine from inside means to you—let us know in the comments!
